License struck with McLaren to produce the McLaren-Honda MP4-30. Production is well underway. Yes iRacing told them in advance what data they'd need to produce the car. Yes you can make reliability jokes about the current MP4-30. However, the fact that a Formula 1 team is disclosing everything they're sending to iRacing to produce the car (due out in the summer) is mind boggling. I didn't think we'd ever see a current car in iRacing or any advanced simulator for that matter.

iRacing will have ERS and DRS implemented as well. With Monza due out this week (or next), Suzuka, Spa, Montreal, COTA, Interlagos, Nurburgring, and Silverstone (circa 2009 with a rescan due out soon) they're building a pretty good formula 1 catalog.

McLaren may be giving them data, but I guarantee that it's not that accurate.

The stuff they need isn't something you can just forge. The fact that iRacing was up front with what they would need leads me to believe it is accurate. Why? Because if they weren't willing to do it iRacing would have most certainly been happy to produce the MP4-29.
